Hey my dear friend, ♡
Last week I was sitting with my calendar, and I had one of those funny moments where your own teaching comes back and smacks you in the face.
I was looking at everything I had committed to.
Every appointment. Every project. Every yes I had said.
And all of a sudden, I stopped and thought…
Who decided that everything that comes into my life gets to stay there?
Isn't that exactly what I've been teaching all these years?
Just because something comes into our home doesn't automatically deserve a permanent place there.
So why was I treating my calendar differently?
I literally ripped the page out. I emptied it. I started with a completely clean page.
And then, one by one, I began inviting things back.
What truly needed to happen this week? What was genuinely important? What could wait? What could be canceled?
And even when something did deserve to come back, I asked another question:
Does this actually need me—or can someone else do it?
I delegated some things. I canceled some things. I said no to some things. I paid for help with some things.
And some things simply did not make it back onto the page.
Somewhere in the middle of all that, I just sat there laughing. Because I realized…
I wasn't using some amazing productivity system. I was just using Frum Minimalism. On my calendar.
With love,
Ellie ♡
